Best friends

Ian and Vivi have become best friends. He likes to snuggle up next to her and she likes to feel his fur (and eat his tail). Sometimes he even tries to wake her up from a nap to get attention from her.

Kensington

Last week, I took Jenavieve, David, and Kaylee to Kensington to meet my mom, who was watching my cousins Adam and Amy. We went to the farm, the nature center, and then to one of the picnic areas where we had lunch and played on the play structure. The boys played catch and football and the girls played on the swings and helped take care of the baby.

Vivi's first trip to the zoo

Last week, Eric and I took Jenavieve to the zoo with Janelle, Ryan, and the boy she nannies for, Sanou. Jenavieve slept through most of it, but Sanou had a lot of fun seeing the animals. 

Her shirt says "Is it too early to ask for a pony?". Eric's cousin Natalie sent it to her.

4 month bread picture

We had a lot of requests to do a repeat of the famous bread picture now that she is bigger. 

So, here is Jenavieve with her bread at 12 days old, and in the 5 pound range.

And here is Jenavieve with her bread (same brand), at 4 months old, and just a little over 12 pounds.

4 months!

Our little Vivi is 4 months old today! She has been eating like crazy and sleeping really well, and being a lot more active. She is able to work her hands a lot better now and enjoys grabbing something and feeling it and pulling it toward her. She has also started licking things (maybe that is what comes after losing the tongue-thrust reflex?) and wants to lick anything that comes near her mouth-including the fingers of everyone she meets.

She has started really teething now, she has been chomping hard on everything and her hand is always in her mouth. Luckily that almond oil and willow bark stuff really works!

Canning tomatoes

We canned tomatoes at my mom's house last week, which was very fun for Jenavieve, as the room was filled with bowls, pots, and jars of her favorite color.

Ok the month flew by, we were out of town a lot in the beginning, and then had scheduling issues, but we finally got Jenavieve into Portrait Innovations for her 3 month pictures. They turned out sooo cute, it was so hard to narrow down the ones we actually got prints of!

I need to get back into blogging, I went back to work this week and I didn't get around to posting the latest pictures.
